DEPENDANCE ON SUBSTANCES / ADDICTION
We define it as a chronic primary disease, whose development and manifestation are influenced by genetic as well as psychosocial and environmental factors. This is a progressive and deadly disease characterized by a gradual loss of control, obsession and distortions in the way of thinking. There is a common element in the above.
Denial there may be a genetic predisposition in some individuals, which becomes manifest when the person comes into contact with the substances that alter his/her behavior we deem it necessary to highlight two aspects of the disease:
Dependency and compulsive behavior, as they seem to be characteristic of the conduction.
As consumption progresses, the person becomes unable to deal with the aspects of daily life without the substance. He/she thus acquires a distorted vision of the world that surrounds him and becomes overanxious ,irritable, edgy. He lies and consequently feels frustrated. This expands to all the aspects of his life, which leads to pain and unredeemable losses.
